Kim Alexander is a registered psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Psychologists Association of Alberta and EMDR Canada. She holds a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary and has received professional training in group therapy and EMDR. With 25 years of experience, Kim has worked with individual adults in both the public system and private practice. Her expertise spans addictions, mood disorders, chronic pain, OCD, and developmental and acute trauma. Kim's trauma-informed approach integrates cognitive-behavioral, schema, psychodynamic, and EMDR therapies. She believes that lasting change is achieved by actively addressing unhealthy behaviors, compulsions, and irrational beliefs during and between therapy sessions. Viewing therapy as a collaborative process, Kim is passionate about helping her clients in their pursuit of self-actualization.
